Three auxiliaries support the Kansas City Art Institute through educational and fundraising activities: The Fireside Committee, the Sketch Box Committee and the Vanderslice Committee.
Members of the Warwick Society have opportunities to see art and design “in the making,” glimpse some of Kansas City’s finest private art collections and participate in national and international travel adventures led by Kathleen Collins, president of KCAI. Annual membership dues are $1,000 for a couple or individual. (Individual members are entitled to bring a guest to Warwick Society events.)
Providing a significant portion of the school’s funding, corporate and foundation partners are truly the pillars of support for the Kansas City Art Institute. Our Corporate Partners program offers a variety of opportunities for organizations to become more involved with students, faculty and alumni.
The Young Professionals Group is the newest addition to the Kansas City Art Institute community. Formed in collaboration with Art Menke of Lathrop and Gage, young professionals have the opportunity to get involved in the art and design world while networking with peers.
The Kansas City Art Institute has an endowment of nearly $40 million, up from $20 million only a few years ago, thanks to a $10 million challenge grant the college received in 2005. With a target deadline of 2010, the Art Institute raised the matching $10 million three years ahead of schedule.
