The mission of Kansas City Art Institute is to be a leader in visual arts and design education by preparing gifted students for lifelong creativity through intensive interaction with preeminent faculty and facilities and by stimulating active public awareness, support, and participation in the visual arts and design.
So many things go into choosing a college. You want to find a place that feels like you — a place where you will feel challenged yet comfortable. A place that offers programs and courses that interest and excite you — where you will be able to explore your own creativity and your own ideas about art and design.
You and your family will be making a big investment in whatever college you choose, and you need to feel sure that this investment will pay off, in terms of your development as an artist or designer and preparation for a career that will pay dividends in many different ways.
There has never been a better time to pursue the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Our nation’s employers are eager to discover what the next generation of innovators and creative thinkers can offer. At the Kansas City Art Institute, you will grow artistically and academically. You will experience a campus community that has identified academic excellence, community involvement, diversity and world citizenship as strategic priorities. You will see references to these priorities — and how they relate to you — throughout this book.
You may be concerned that the cost of a private education is out of reach, but there are resources available to help you. More than 95 percent of our students receive institutional scholarships, and we can help you identify other sources of financial aid as well. In many instances, the cost to attend KCAI is competitive with that of state universities, while our facilities and student-teacher ratio are far superior. Don’t let financial concerns keep you from exploring all we have to offer you.
Please contact our admissions office at 800-522-5224 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a visit! We look forward to welcoming you to the Kansas City Art Institute.
