Our exchange programs allow students to access classes and experiences not available on the KCAI campus. KCAI has agreements with local colleges and universities, AICAD schools throughout the U.S. and Canada and international institutions. Directed studies with KCAI faculty are also available.
Directed studies provide students the opportunity to craft a specialized learning experience with KCAI faculty. The directed study is intended to help students hone specific skills or allow them to explore an educational interest in depth.

Kansas City Art Institute maintains partnerships with the majority of AICAD schools in the U.S. and Canada where our students may apply to spend one semester studying off-campus at a partner AICAD school. Read more.
