The Kansas City Art Institute maintains partnerships with the majority of AICAD schools in the U.S. and Canada where our students may apply to spend one semester studying off-campus at a partner AICAD school.
When students participate in the AICAD Mobility Program they will continue to be considered a full-time KCAI student. Students will pay tuition to KCAI per usual and will still receive financial aid and scholarships due to agreements KCAI has with partner schools. Students pay no tuition to the host school and will only be responsible for transportation to and from the host school, cost of living, books/supplies and any miscellaneous fees –– such as an orientation or studio fees.
Also due to the nature of KCAI's partnership with these schools, the credit students earn while studying at the host schools counts as KCAI credit (not transfer credit) which means that they would count towards fulfilling the requirement that a students last 30 credit hours be earned at KCAI.
In order to apply to participate in the AICAD Mobility Program students must:
Applications to participate in the AICAD Mobility Program are due no later than March 1 for fall semester mobility and Oct. 1 for spring semester mobility.
