Deadlines

Portfolios consisting of CDs, DVDs or slides, or both if preferred, are required for all admissions applications.

January 15

First priority postmarked admissions application deadline for Freshman Competitive Scholarship consideration.

Applicants who wish to compete in the Freshman Competitive Scholarship competition must apply by the January 15 priority deadline and meet the following requirements: submit an exceptional admissions portfolio, have a 3.0 (out of 4.0) cumulative high school grade point average, and have an ACT composite score of 20 OR an SAT combined score of 1425.

Participants who are not selected to receive a Competitive Scholarship will be evaluated immediately for Merit Award consideration.

February 15

Transfer Student Competitive Scholarship application postmark deadline. Requirements: acceptance into KCAI's B.F.A. program, a 3.0 (out of 4.0) cumulative GPA, and an ACT composite score of 20 OR an SAT combined score of 1425 (or 950 without writing test), if required.

Freshman Merit Award second application postmark deadline.

March 15

Freshman Merit Award third application postmark deadline.

Note: Applications will be accepted after all deadlines. Applicants will be accepted and awards granted on a space-available basis.
