Donor recognition list
All that the students, alumni, faculty and staff achieve at KCAI would not be possible were it not for the support and commitment of foundations, corporations and individuals who believe in our mission and work on our behalf in countless ways. We are honored to recognize them for the critical role they are playing in the future of art and design and in education.
(Gifts given from July 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006 are included.)

Announcement of new gifts
American Sterling Bank founder and CEO Larry Dodge and his wife, Kristina, from Monarch Beach, Calif., have donated $5 million toward the Art Institute’s Master Campus Plan. The college has also received gifts of $2 million from the Hall Family Foundation and $1 million from the William T. Kemper Foundation, Commerce Bank Trustee to help underwrite the continuation of an effort which began a decade ago to substantially upgrade campus facilities. Since the mid-1990’s, more than $18 million has been invested in providing a first-rate living and learning environment for our students.
In honor of their gift, the new painting building was dedicated the Lawrence & Kristina Dodge Painting Building in August of 2006.
"These remarkable gifts give tremendous momentum toward the fulfillment of our campus master plan,” said Kathleen Collins, president of KCAI. The master plan calls for the addition of the new painting building as well as extensive landscaping of the 15-acre campus. Recently completed was an expansion of the Irving Building, which faces Oak Street on the east side of the campus.
