Funding the future - capital projects and endowment
Thanks to generous support from donors, KCAI has completed $27 million in campus improvements over the last decade, including the following:
Phase I (completed):
- Student Living Center Renovation
- Purchase/Renovation of Cunningham Property for new Jannes Library and Learning Center
- H&R Block Artspace
- Addition to Richard Stern Ceramics Building
- Purchase/Renovation of J&G Market Property for studio classrooms
- J.C. Nichols Patio Garden
- Epperson Auditorium
- Café Nerman
Phase II (completed):
- Lawrence and Kristina Dodge Painting Building
- Irving Building Addition
- Landscaping to connect the KCAI campus with its neighboring cultural institutions
- Living Center Parking Lot
Phase III (next steps):
- Donaldson House (options are currently under consideration)
- Raze Baty House and replace with a new classroom and studio facility
