The Greater Kansas City Japanese Film Festival, a two-day event, will take place March 10 and 11 at the Kansas City Art Institute and The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. The film festival is presented in partnership by the Kansas City Art Institute and Heartland Japan Exchange and Teaching Alumni Association and will include short documentary films about the recent earthquake and tsunami disasters in Japan. Among the films shown will be Academy Award nominee “The Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom.” Proceeds from the event will go towards relief efforts in Japan.
