Nandipha Mntambo graduated with an M.F.A. degree (with distinction) from the Michaelis School of Fine Art, University of Cape Town, in June 2007. Mntambo was recently named the 2011 Standard Bank Young Artist for Visual Art, which will include her work being featured in a national touring exhibition ending at the University of Potchefstroom Art Gallery in South Africa Aug. 16–Sept. 14. In 2006 she was one of five young artists selected for the MTN New Contemporaries exhibition at Johannesburg Art Gallery in South Africa. For more information, visit www.kcai.edu/currentperspectives.
