Beginners and advanced students alike will have the opportunity to build their skills and learn from other creative individuals in an adult studies course. Enrichment classes are offered for adults at any skill level. The current schedule is online. Course subjects include art history, ceramics, drawing, fiber, graphic design, jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. No experience or application is required to take a course.

The Fine Arts Certificate program is designed to to provide skill development in visual arts to adults. The 10-class certificate will provide students with an opportunity to explore, develop and express their own visual skills. Even if you are new to creative self-expression, these classes will help you acquire new skills and an understanding of the fundamentals of fine arts. No prior art or design experience is required to enroll.
Prior to enrolling in classes, students must complete an certificate application and submit a one-time $25 application fee. Fill out an online certificate application here. This certificate is non-credit, so these classes will not be listed on your transcript.

Have you always had an interest in art history, but felt out of your element? Many people look with interest at the world of art but never feel comfortable taking the first step. The Art Sofa Series will introduce you to key items necessary to gain a solid foundation for learning about art and the history in which it was made.
Grab a seat, get comfortable and join us for a fun, informal examination of art history. Classes are listed online under Art History. You are encouraged to begin the series with the Getting Comfy Seminar.
The photography certificate focuses on gaining the skills to launch a career or to become a competent photographer. Classes include traditional photography, digital photography, Photoshop, lighting and digital workflow. The program is 13 total credits; each class is worth one credit and meets once a week for eight weeks. Students may begin the program at any point in the schedule, and a current list of classes is online under Photography. An online application and $25 application fee are required for entry to the program.
The community is invited to enroll in KCAI's degree classes during the summer (June and July) and winter (January) intersessions. Liberal arts classes meet Monday through Thursday and studio classes meet Monday through Friday. A variety of unique and exciting classes are offered that can't be found anywhere else. January options are posted with our spring offerings and June and July options are posted with our summer offerings. See our current listings.
