Year-round KCAI offers programs to foster youth art development and creativity for those 6 to 14 years old. We focus our classes on skill development and fun. During the summer we offer week-long summer camps in a wide spectrum of arts ranging from computer animation to photography to drawing. See our current offerings.
Every summer KCAI offers a series of weekly summer camp programs for youth ages 6-14. The program is designed so students may come in the morning only, afternoon only or all day. Our classes are designed to be part skill building, part creativity and part fun. Offerings change each year but some examples are digital photography, drawing people, computer animation and more.
The School for Continuing and Professional Studies wants to encourage our younger students that pursue art training. We offer a free Artist in Training certificate from Kansas City Art Institute when a student completes five classes. Get started today and fill out the certificate tracking form.
Take the opportunity to create with children and discover the creative process through their eyes. The Kansas City Art Institute offers several classes a session designed for families to make art together. From Mardi Gras maskmaking to sculptural workshops we offer a way for families to connect with art and each other.
