KCAI reviews and determines renewal eligibility upon completion of the academic year.
Completion of foundation year:
Must have cumulative gpa of 3.0 – retain 100% of merit/competitive scholarship.
If cumulative gpa is 2.5 – 2.99 – retain 75% of original merit/competitive scholarship. (plus need based scholarship if eligible as determined by FAFSA results)
If cumulative gpa is 2.0 – 2.49 – retain 50% of original merit/competitive scholarship. (plus need based scholarship if eligible as determined by FAFSA results)
If cumulative gpa is below 2.0 – NO scholarship available.
If your scholarship is reduced you may regain eligibility by meeting the standards set for the sophomore year and submitting an appeal application to the KCAI Financial Aid Office.
Completion of sophomore year:
Must have cumulative gpa of 3.1 – retain 100% of merit/competitive scholarship.
If cumulative gpa is 2.8 – 3.09 – retain 50% of original merit/competitive scholarship. (plus need based scholarship if eligible as determined by FAFSA results)
If cumulative gpa is below 2.8 – scholarship is based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA results.
If cumulative gpa is below 2.0 – NO scholarship available. If your scholarship is reduced you may regain eligibility by meeting the standards set for the junior year and submitting an appeal application to the KCAI Financial Aid Office.
Completion of Junior year:
Must have cumulative gpa of 3.2 – retain 100% of merit/competitive scholarship.
If cumulative gpa is 2.9 – 3.19 – retain 50% of original merit/competitive scholarship. (plus need based scholarship if eligible as determined by FAFSA results)
If cumulative gpa is below 2.9 – scholarship is based on financial need as determined by the FAFSA results. If cumulative gpa is below 2.0 – NO scholarship available. KCAI reserves the right to review and modify the scholarship policy annually.
