Computer lab technician

Position description: Computer lab technicians are responsible for helping students use the lab effectively. They will receive training in troubleshooting issues with computers, printers and scanners to keep the lab running smoothly. Lab technicians are responsible for keeping the lab clean; this includes throwing away trash, recycling printer paper and wiping down the tables in the lab. Lab technicians are responsible for replacing paper and toner in the printers and informing library staff when supplies are needed. They also are responsible for communicating technical issues in the lab to campus technology and to supervising library staff. Lab technicians need to be willing to help with other projects as needed in the lab.
