Library Computer Lab Technician

Position Description:
Computer lab technicians are responsible for helping students use the lab effectively. They will receive some training in troubleshooting issues with computers, printers and scanners to keep the lab running smoothly. Painting Department-Curatorial Assistant

Position Description:
This position is meant for an upper-division painting major who is organized and able to work independently on several on-going curatorial projects that include current students, faculty and painting department alumni.  The students' main responsibilities will be to work with painting faculty one-on-one to develop and implement the Painting Department's gallery program.  Students may assist the painting faculty in the following activities: identifying work for departmental exhibitions by visiting major studio classrooms, the promotion of exhibition topics and themes to current students, the spotting of work in gallery exhibitions, the development of signage and written discourse to accompany and promote the departments ongoing gallery program and the coordination of weekend installation activities.  In addition, the work-study assistant will be responsible for the documentation of gallery exhibitions and the development of visual and written content for the Painting Department Blog according to their individual strengths and experience. Students will assist with the department's cameras, light kit, strobes and in the departments' computer lab as well as with the faculty throughout the facilities.

Painting Department Elective Classroom and Facilities Assistant

Position Description:
This position is for an upper division painting major who is organized, independent, has a flexible schedule and who works consistently in studio.  The hours will range from 5-10 hours per week.  It is an asset if this person is available the week before each semester begins.  This student will assist the painting department in the monitoring and set-up of elective classrooms, including; working with faculty to develop classroom set-ups for elective, model and still-life sessions, monitoring model and still-life equipment and furniture, as well as serving as the departmental liaison with facilities maintenance for the replacement of burnt out lights and the monitoring of building leaks.  The student may serve in the same capacity with special departmental events.  This student will also be in charge of setting up for and monitoring weekly open model sessions.
