Art History Curriculum
The curriculum leading to the B.F.A. degree in art history calls for 30 credit hours of specifically art history courses: Topics in Western Art, Issues in Modern Art, Ancient or Medieval Art, Renaissance or Baroque Art, Modern Art, Contemporary Art (1945 to present), Non-Eurocentric Art, Senior Seminar and Art History and Theory Electives.
In addition, the curriculum includes 30 hours in liberal arts, humanities and science, including courses such as topics in Western Thought, Social Science, Philosophy and History; and 66 to 81 or more credit hours in studio arts, depending on whether you plan to double-major in studio art and art history.
