Part-Time Instructors
for Continuing Education and Certificate Programs
Kansas City Art Institute, a national leader in visual arts education, seeks part-time instructors to teach continuing/community education and certificate program courses. Courses are offered year-round in the evenings and weekends.
KCAI Special Programs Division offers two certificates: 1) Digital Desktop Publishing, and 2) Multimedia Studies. The eight-week courses include web page design and development, digital imaging, video and auditing editing, desktop publishing, various multimedia applications, computer drawing and animation. Taught in a 20-station lab equipped with the newest Intel iMacs, these classes are offered for adults interested in professional or personal development.
Continuing education courses focus on fine and applied arts as well as computer-related arts such as graphic design, traditional and computer animation. Students in our continuing education classes include children (ages 6-10), youth (ages 11-15) and adults (ages 16 and older).
In addition to the above, we offer specialized intensives for teens and are seeking, for summer 2007, instructors in digital photography, fashion design, and traditional animation.
We seek instructors interested in teaching at the KCAI campus and/or north of the river.
To apply, submit resume, a list of 3 references we may contact, and a cover letter to include subject matter to be taught, age group(s) desired to teach, and teaching location desired (on campus or north of the river). Send or email to:
