International studies coordinator
Kansas City Art Institute, a four-year, independent, fully accredited college of art and design, has an immediate full-time opening for an international studies coordinator. Compensation low 40s annually plus benefits including liberal holiday and vacation schedules.
The position will report to the associate vice president for student achievement, and responsibilities include the development and management of study abroad and exchange opportunities and the delivery of international student services. The coordinator is also responsible for growing international student recruitment efforts. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills are required. An ability to work as a member of both the admissions and student services teams is essential.
Bachelor's degree in art, education or a related field is required, master's preferred. Knowledge and/or experience in study abroad, international student affairs, higher education or admissions is preferred.
Founded in 1885, Kansas City Art Institute is located in the cultural heart of metropolitan Kansas City on a 15-acre park-like campus setting. The college awards the bachelor of fine arts degree and enrolls approximately 650 students drawn from throughout the United States and several foreign countries. The full-time faculty is comprised of nearly 50 practicing artists and scholars, and a distinguished visiting artists program complements the academic program.
