Artist Models - part-time
The Kansas City Art Institute, a national leader in visual arts education, continually seeks applications for the position of artist model. The drawing of the human figure is a fundamental and essential component of education in the visual arts.
Reporting to the model supervisor, the artist model is responsible for striking and holding nude poses for a variety of classes in a professional academic and artistic environment. Serious candidates must be dependable and reliable. The position requires the physical ability to hold gestural, sitting, standing and reclining poses for up to 30 minutes. Starting pay is $10.20 per hour with a three-hour minimum. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and background or experience in the performing arts such as in dancing or theater is extremely helpful.
Kansas City Art Institute is a four-year private, independent and accredited college of art and design founded in 1885, and is located in the cultural heart of metropolitan Kansas City on a 12-acre park-like campus setting. The college awards the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and enrolls more than 600 students drawn from throughout the United States and several foreign countries.
