Open call for dancers for KCAI anniversary gala - 10:00 AM

Epperson Auditorium
 
The Kansas City Art Institute will host an open call for dancers to participate in a performance choreographed by internationally acclaimed fiber artist and KCAI alumnus Nick Cave (’82 fiber). Cave is best known for his Soundsuits, which dancers will wear in the performance. The performance will be a highlight of the college's 125th Anniversary Gala on Feb. 20. 
 
Cave is looking for 20 to 30 dancers. The ability to do gymnastics and/or stilt walk is a plus.
 
The gala will take place from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Kansas City Convention Center’s Grand Ballroom at 14th and Wyandotte Streets. Performers selected also will need to be available from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Feb. 13 through 19 and all day Feb. 20 for rehearsals.
