McIntire is a composer, teacher and scholar based in Kansas City. In 2010 he launched Irritable Hedgehog Music, a publisher and label with a focus on minimalist and soundscape compositions.

Crowley is executive director of Eyebeam Art + Technology Center in New York. She is a cultural worker, curator and facilitator who specializes in creating new media and contemporary art events and programs that encourage cross-disciplinary practice, collaboration and exchange. Learn more.
The "2011 B.F.A. Exhibition" opens today at the H&R Block Artspace. Work is installed throughout the Artspace — in the main gallery and also on the upper level — representing most departments at KCAI, including animation, art history, ceramics, creative writing, digital filmmaking, fiber, graphic design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture. The exhibition will be on view at the Artspace through May 14. A closing reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 13. Readings from the “Compendium 2011" will take place at noon on Friday, May 14.

McDade works in photography, installtion, print and painting. He earned a B.F.A. degree from Wayne State University in Detroit and an M.F.A. degree from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Learn more.
ArtSounds presents "Vignettes, Lost and Found [A Bricolage]"

The performance will consist of a series of artworks made from and about things lost and found, by artists who are lost and found themselves.
Performers will be members of Mara Gibson's UMKC and KCAI "Creative Collaboration" class.
The event is free and open to the public.

Born in San Francisco, Honig attended the Kansas City Art Institute and currently lives and works in Kansas City, Mo. In fall 2010, she appeared on the Bravo Channel's "Work of Art: Next Great Artist" reality show. Learn more.
