In alternating years the Kansas City Art Institute hosts an Art and Design Auction and a gala.
In 2010, the gala will celebrate the college's 125th anniversary. The next Art and Design Auction will take place in 2011. And in June each year, the campus green is the site of the annual Art of the Car Concours. All of these special events raise funds for student scholarships. More than 95 percent of students at KCAI receive some form of financial aid.
