Grants
Grants are awarded based on financial need and need not be repaid. A prior bachelor's degree excludes a student from eligibility for grant awards. To apply for grants, complete the FAFSA.
Federal Pell Grants are renewable grants based on financial need and provided directly from the federal government. If you do not receive a Pell Grant, you may be eligible for other types of assistance.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants are government grants administered by KCAI. These grants are awarded to the students with the highest need, with preference given to Pell Grant recipients.
Missouri Financial Assistance Grants provide grant funding from the State of Missouri for Missouri residents who are attending a Missouri institution and meet financial need requirements by the State of Missouri. The deadline for submitting the FAFSA for Missouri state grant consideration is April 1. If you have questions about residency requirements, you may contact the Coordinating Board for Higher Education in Jefferson City, Mo., at 573-751-2361.
