KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Nov. 14, 2012) — The Kansas City Art Institute has become one of the first colleges of art and design in the nation to consolidate its academic advising and career services operations into a single office.

Kansas City, Mo. (Aug. 24, 2012) – Kansas City Art Institute’s School for Continuing and Professional Studies in partnership with The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art presents “Here’s Looking at Art,” a new course series in art appreciation. Starting this fall, courses developed to help participants understand art in numerous contexts will be offered. 

KANSAS CITY, Mo.(July 9, 2012) — The Sixth Annual Art of the Car Concours®, which took place June 24 on the campus of the Kansas City Art Institute, showcased 212 vehicles from 65 cities in 12 states, including a number of rare vehicles: a Talbot-Lago, Stutz M Lancefield Coupe, Peugeot 402 Darl’mat Roadster, Rolls Royce Silver Ghost and six Duesenbergs, to mention only a few of the standouts in a field of high-caliber entries. The presenting sponsors were the Mercedes-Benz Dealers, Mercedes-Benz of Kansas City and Aristocrat Motors.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 31, 2012) ­– The “2012 Kansas City Flatfile,” an exhibition on view through Sept. 29 featuring two-dimensional artwork by more than 150 Kansas City-based artists in media including drawing, photography, prints and mixed-media works on paper as well as time-based artwork in the “Videofile,” will open with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. June 1 at the H&R Block Artspace at the Kansas City Art Institute, 16 E. 43 St.
