Art and Design Auction 2005

Campus provides backdrop for auction

Every other year, KCAI hosts an art and design auction to raise funds for student scholarships. The 2005 event also honored the lifetime achievements of Jim Leedy, founder of the Crossroads District and legendary professor of sculpture at KCAI. Below are images from the 2005 Art and Design Auction, which for the first time was held on the KCAI campus.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our faculty, alumni and friends, art collectors present that evening had more than250 pieces of art, design and special packages from which to choose. In all, the event raised nearly $450,000.

Thanks to generous contributions of artwork, the support of corporate, foundation and individual patrons and the leadership of event chairs, Janet and Marshall Miller, it was a wonderful evening that will long be remembered by all who attended.
