As a freshman, your son or daughter benefits from an intense yearlong discovery-based foundation program. Students are immersed in a variety of media. Beyond the foundation program, students continue to benefit from ample studio time and individualized attention from expert faculty within their chosen department.

In addition to stressing the creative process, KCAI places a premium on the life of the mind. By exploring concepts in history, literature, philosophy, creative writing, art history and science, students gain a broader perspective of the world in which they live, and they develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are highly valued by today's employers.
