Fall 2008

6-8 YEARS OLD

Acrylic Painting
XCPA 013-01-F
Just learning how to paint? Acrylic paint is an excellent nontoxic medium for learning how to handle a brush and push colorful paint around a canvas. All supplies provided.

Beginning Drawing

Using shapes to build your work, you will learn how to draw from life and imagination. We’ll cover the basics of line, shading and texture. All supplies provided.

Cartooning and Comic Arts

Interested in manga? Superheroes? Or creating your own cartoon character? This course will focus on basic drawing skills for the comic arts, paneling, composition, and sequential storytelling. Bring a sketchbook, pencil, eraser and your ideas!

Tell your Story through your Art
XCIL 028-40- F
Develop your own style of illustration. We’ll explore collage, painting and pen & ink. You will discover, through the process of illustration, that you can create wonderful images to tell your story. Bring a sketchbook, pencil, eraser and story idea to the first class.
