Corporate services division
The KCAI corporate services division offers a variety of programs designed to improve business and individual performance.
Team-building
“Art of Team” is a team-building/art-making experience that includes discussion and dialogue about team behavior and provides an enjoyable retreat for participants. The workshop can be delivered at your location or at KCAI. By the end of the session, your group will have a work of art to keep as a memento and will be a stronger team, focused on achieving at a higher level in the workplace.

Customized training
When you encounter a training-related stumbling block and your employees need additional training to perform at their peak, call the special programs office at the Kansas City Art Institute to discuss a customized workshop. Maybe there is a growing need to upgrade your employees’ technology-related design skills. Maybe your team needs a boost with its cohesion. We can customize a training plan at low cost, on short notice, to address your company’s needs.
Lunch and learn
Does your company need an educational yet entertaining presentation on creativity and innovation? Would your employees welcome a program about how to encourage creativity in their children? Give us a call, and we’ll talk about the possibilities.
We can bring our programs to you
Our certificate programs in Digital Desktop Publishing and Multimedia Studies can be brought to your work site. We will supply the instructors, curricula and all the support staff necessary to provide your employees with the courses needed to obtain a certificate. You will benefit from a more educated workforce, while your employees gain new job skills.
Access to digital imaging facilities
You are welcome to access our 35-seat Mac lab, of which 15 stations may be used as a classroom setting. This facility, located on the third floor of the Jannes Library and Learning Center, contains 15 iMac G4’s running current software applications: Adobe Creative Suite, Macromedia MX Suite, Office 2004, Cinema 4D, Maya, iLife apps and many others. Additional hardware includes use of flatbed and slide scanners and CD/DVD burning capability.
Online courses
Online courses are sweeping the adult educational market. Adults who work full time and lead busy lives can learn at their own pace, on their own schedule, within the comfort of their own environment. Online courses available through KCAI include “Creating Web Pages,” “Photoshop for the Absolute Beginner,” “Navigating your Palm Pilot” and “Introduction to Excel.”
