KCAI recognizes the importance of technology as a part of the educational experience.
Campus Technology works closely with academic departments to develop recommendations and requirements for students who purchase computers for use in their academic careers. The following points should assist students and parents in making decisions regarding the purchase of computers:

Public access labs are available for students in the Jannes Library and, for foundation students in the Student Living Center. These labs feature Apple computers and are installed with campus standard software from Microsoft (Productivity Suite) and Adobe (CS3).
For students who are not required to purchase a computer but who choose to purchase one in order to enhance their educational experience, Campus Technology recommends the purchase of an Apple computer via the KCAI online Apple Store or a computer from Dell or Gateway.
The Kansas City Art Institute's viewbook provides an overview of KCAI's academic programs, students, faculty, alumni and campus.
Download the student handbook for information about student services, degree requirements, the grading system, course reservations, academic appeals and academic standings.
