Student Organizations

Aesthetic and Philosophical Salon Club
The Aesthetic and Philosophical Salon Club seeks to create a space for deep, student-led, philosophical inquiry and debate in which artist's ideas can be honed for the improvement of their art.
Animation Club
The Animation Cub is a social space for students of all majors to engage in animated media, and enjoy activities rooted in the medium. Throughout the year we will host movie screenings, game nights, and off campus activities.
Asian America Pacific Islanders Association Association (AAPI)
AAPI is a student-led organization that celebrates and provides support to diverse cultures, identities, and experiences of the AAPI community of KCAI.
Black Student Union (BSU)
BSU is a space and club where we foster community amongst African and African Diasporic students, educate others on our history and culture, and advocate for all students at KCAI.
Book Club
Book Club is a group that meets twice a month to have craft nights and discuss books. Books are not assigned but it is highly encouraged to share about books you are reading or have read!
Crochet Club
Crochet Club is a space where students can meet to learn about anything crochet (including projects and techniques)!
Foundry Guild
The Foundry Guild supports and promotes metal casting at KCAI through collaborative pours and peer-to-peer learning.
Hispanic Latinx/e Association (HLA)
The HLA is committed to creating a supportive and welcoming space for Hispanic and Latinx students and artists. We aim to celebrate the rich diversity of our cultures and share our experiences as Hispanic and Latinx people.
KCAI Bible Study
KCAI Bible Study is an on-campus study that bring people of faith together, with in-depth bible study, fun theological discussions, and places to hang out with people of faith.
KCAI Dance and Motion Arts
KCAI DMA gives an opportunity for students to have a break from their work and be active in an all-level, multi-genre dance class with possible large and small audience performances.
Magic: The Gathering Club
The purpose of this organization is for students to foster connections with others through casual games, themed club nights, drafting and deck building.
Poetry Club
The goal of the Poetry Club is to create a community of poets on campus and give feedback and share both student and published works.
Print Club
The goal of Print Club is to create prints on a large scale for sale, giving learning opportunities for relief and screen-printing, and providing the materials necessary for doing so.
Student Leadership Opportunities
KCAI's Student Leadership Council is open to all students, and offers the opportunity to serve as a representative for their academic department, and engage in open dialog with other students and administrators. This Council reviews and approves budget requests for student organizations, provides opportunities for students to speak openly with faculty and administration about their experiences and propose solutions to campus challenges.
