Scott Giffen, CFRE, M.S. joined KCAI in 2026 bringing over 20 years of experience as a high-impact executive, generosity coach, and philanthropic leader. His career is defined by a deep commitment to promoting the arts, nature, and communities of progress—a mission that aligns perfectly with KCAI.
His proven success in fundraising and demonstrated ability to build and nurture strong advancement teams set a positive path forward for our organizational growth.
In his 27-year career, Scott and his teams have raised more than $300 million.
A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Scott holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science from the Briner School of Business at Greenville University. He is recognized not only for his data-driven strategic analytics but also for his talent in storytelling and public speaking.
Beyond his professional accolades, Scott is known for his results-oriented approach and his unique ability to act as a philanthropic matchmaker, connecting donors’ passions with impactful causes.
Scott has a large, blended family, including his wife and four children, along with a variety of pets (two dogs, a cat, and a gecko). He is also very familiar with the Kansas City area as he has been in Kansas City since 2020.
