KCAI Studio Apartments
The KCAI Studio Apartments, located at 4535 Main Street, provide furnished studio-style housing for upper-division students.
These single and double occupancy units are 300–500sq ft, include kitchenettes, are owned and managed by KCAI, and are a short 5-minute walk (0.3 miles) from the main campus and the KC Streetcar.
Please note that not all rooms are identical including variations in flooring, window coverings, etc.

A: While contracts specify designated dates, the apartments are available to students annually. A new contract is required each year, and assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

A: Exterior doors are accessed via student IDs. For added security, the building is equipped with interior and exterior cameras. While KCAI security is available 24/7, a security guard will be available to residents nightly from 11 PM to 7 AM.

A: While a meal plan is required, students have the flexibility to choose from five available options.
Q: What is the difference between each meal plan?
A: The 14/week and 19/week meal plans provide students with 14 or 19 meals per week, respectively, for the duration of the semester. In contrast, the 45, 75, and 115 meal plans are block plans, offering a total of 45, 75, or 115 meals to be used at any point during the semester.

A: Dining Dollars are funds accepted at both Wylie Dining and Café Nerman. While many students use them for purchases at Café Nerman, Dining Dollars can also be used for entry into Wylie Dining. Students can conveniently track their Meal Plan and Dining Dollar balances in the Saavor App.
